Week Twenty One and Thinking Of You.

Hey there.  How are you doing?  This year has been nuts and we're all in our own bubbles just trying to figure it all out.  I hope everyone in your bubble is doing well.

Have your kids finished school?  How about work?  Are you at home or back to work in the world?  As restrictions start easing up, are you going out or are you still cautiously at home?

We're still keeping to ourselves for the most part.  My daughter is pretty shaken by all of this and she's really worried about people who aren't being careful.  It's been challenging, but I'm still shooting through it all.  I hope you're documenting this time too.

Week Twenty

It's really strange to see that number in the title.  Twenty weeks in.  I'm halfway to giving birth!  (not really)  It's been a strange twenty weeks to say the least.  The further this project goes, the more I've been thinking about routines.

Routines provide us with a sense of comfort.  We LIKE knowing what we're doing because it gives us a sense of control and security.  But over the last two months our routines have started weighing on a lot of us.  That fatigue makes people reckless.  I don't know about you, but that's when other people start going nuts, I double down on staying on course.

While I've been doing a lot of behind the scenes work on my business, I'm super cautious about relaunching right now.  I'm tentatively looking at mid-June for outdoor sessions.  Are you thinking about heading out and hitting the ground running?  Or are you being super cautious?

In the meantime, the project rolls on!

Week Nineteen

This is, officially, the longest I've ever made it in a Project 365.  It could be looking at it from a different space or it could be that during these periods of staying at home there are fewer things competing for my attention.  In all honesty, this whole time has been a blessing in disguise for me.  Our family has been spending so much quality time together and I've loved it.  I've also been doing a ton of housekeeping on my photography business.  I've also been able to refocus on what I want my business to be.  Keep an eye out for more info!

Week Eighteen

We just finished our little "Walking Staycation".  Why do I call it that?  Well, instead of checking out all things Arizona in an epic road trip, we had to settle for driving to pretty places and walking.  We'll hit the road for a vacation at some point, but for this week, the adventuring had to stay closer to home, and with masks on.  ;)

Just like a lot of you, I'd completely lose track of what day or month it is if I didn't have something to remind me.  In my case, it's the photo project.

This was a weird week for us.  We've got some vacation time coming up and we were supposed to be preparing for a big road trip to Arizona.  I'd be getting excited to see a new ballpark, go to the Grand Canyon and spend some quality time with the family.  I know everyone has had to face disappointing moments these last months.  We keep telling the kiddos that a lot of people are having to adjust and make the best of things.  Here's to being flexible!
