Well, if you're me you cook. And hey, if I'm already cooking, why not play with food photography. Am I right? I knew that another 365 wasn't happening. (Even if I'd wanted to, Mr. Christine's Camera said no way).
The good news for you? I'm going to link to the recipes that I'm using, so you can get your bake on too! So for these super yummy chocolate caramel brownie cookies, head over to Half Baked Harvest for the recipe. I'm a HUGE fan of Tiegan's and you should be too. For these, I did adjust the flour. My kiddos like a more cakey brownie, so that's what I went for. No matter how you make them, they are sooooooooo yummy. You should definitely bake some up.
This is really pretty momentous. I’ve never finished a 365 before and it looks like I’m going to pull it off. I half joked about starting another one, but there’s no way. I’m still looking for some kind of personal project, but I don’t think trying to do another 365 is in the cards. For one thing, doing this during all things Covid has made me sick of my neighborhood. HA!
Until I figure out what’s next, here’s the last batch of photos I took for the 365!
Of course, this year Santa had to take care of himself with Covid 19, so I got my Christie Claus on. I’ll be honest, I absolutely love playing the jolly old guy, no matter how old the kids are. Hey, I’ve got the build for it! For any of you missing extended family, I hope you enjoyed your holiday as much as you could.
On our end, it was actually nice to just be the four of us. Sometimes the driving all over creation to make appearances can be hectic. So a quiet Christmas is in the books.
Boy we've been busy! Between Ivy's birthday and getting in all of the Holiday vibes that we can, it's been one big tail chasing time. Of course, just like all of you, we're being super careful to stay masked up and choose activities that are outside. Even though it wasn't the sweet sixteen my big girl was dreaming of, we had fun.
Hopefully, you're all staying safe and warm! The holidays are in full swing, so I'm wishing you sweet treats and warm moments with those that you love.
I'm sitting here in complete denial that my baby girl is going to be SIXTEEN next week. We're soaking up all the Holiday vibes but in my gut I'm just so overwhelmed. When they're little, it feels like they're going to depend on you forever. When you watch them get their driving permit, start talking about getting a job and what they think of college it hits you that they're going to leave you.
I don't even want to think about it. Even though I know that my job as her mom is to prepare her for her own adventures and her own journey, I'm in no way emotionally ready to give her up. So I'm going to be soaking up my moments with these squirts of mine until they're totally sick of me.
